Product: Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition

Ferrari SF1000 displays racing information and telemetry on its LCD screen for games compatible with display modes (Native and UDP).
If you encounter difficulties with the display, it may be useful to check whether your steering wheel is properly configured according to the criteria presented in this article.

For the LCD screen, make sure the Y/N switch is in the Y position.

Important :

Telemetry works thanks to the firmware of your devices. So always check if your Ferrari SF1000 and your Thrustmaster servo base are up to date.
If necessary, information on the latest firmware for the Ferrari SF1000 and compatible servo bases is available on our website (link below).

Check the compatibility of your game depending on the platform (PC or game console) you are using to find out if the LCD screen display and telemetry is available.
Compatibility information is available in the Games Settings section on our website (link below), open the Functionality of the screen and the telemetry in games list.

1- Native mode

Native Mode allows display on the LCD screen and telemetry thanks to data transfer between the Ferrari SF1000 steering wheel and the game directly via the servo base.

In Native mode, the Ferrari SF1000's Wi-Fi must be turned off.

When should I use Native mode?
- Using Ferrari SF1000 on PC running Windows® 10 or more recent to display telemetry in a compatible game.
- Using Ferrari SF1000 on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 consoles to display telemetry in a compatible game.

2- UDP mode

UDP is a data transfer protocol between the Ferrari SF1000 steering wheel and the game using local Wi-Fi. The display on the LCD screen and telemetry are activated using this wireless protocol.

UDP requires access to the Thrustmaster connection portal via an intermediary device which must be:
- smartphone / tablet running Android
- iPhone / iPad running iOS

To activate UDP, please follow our guide:
- UDP/Wi-Fi Configuration – Android Tutorial
- UDP/Wi-Fi Configuration – iOS Tutorial

When should I use UDP?
- Using Ferrari SF1000 on Xbox One™, Xbox Series S™ and Xbox Series X™ consoles to play F1® (Formula 1) games*. This is the only way to have the LCD screen display and telemetry to work on this console.
*EA SPORTS™ versions (F1® 22, F1® 23, F1® 24 and later) and previous versions (F1 2019, F1 2020, F1 2021)

For telemetry settings on Xbox console: Ferrari SF1000 - F1® (Formula 1) telemetry settings on Xbox console

There is an exception for using UDP:
- UDP can be activated to have LCD screen display and telemetry to work when playing F1 2019 on PlayStation®4 and PC.

3- Using Ferrari SF1000 without display mode

If the game is not compatible with the display modes*, or if you play F1® (Formula 1) on an Xbox console without activating UDP, the LCD screen on your Ferrari SF1000 will display a black background and will scroll a Thrustmaster logo then a Ferrari logo.

*See the list of compatible games on our site in Game settings (link at the top of this page).
